LEH, Mar 30: Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of District Hospital Leh held a meeting today under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh Sachin Kumar, wherein approval was given to a number of developmental works of SNM Hospital.
These works included formulation of a Master Plan which spells out the road map for prioritization of development in the existing space of old abandoned buildings of SNM Hospital and its adjacent areas in a planned manner avoiding all haphazard construction and the sites were identified for future relocation and expansion. The other works included construction of shops for revenue generation for Rogi Kalyan Samiti, installation of dual split ACs in Operation Theatre and ICU, attendant shed, renovation and construction of local toilets, provision of water supply to the bathrooms of doctor’s quarters, installation of 20 KV solar plants, etc.
CMO, Leh Dr Motup Dorjey, Medical Superintendent Dr Tsering Samphel, engineers of executing agencies and other members of RKS attended the meeting.
Sachin Kumar also reviewed the new agendas of RKS and had a detail discussion with the health functionaries and executing agencies on different works.
On the occasion, MS SNM Hospital Dr Samphel gave detailed presentation on the performance of SNM hospital.
Taking serious note of the present status of all the proposed works and other agendas, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Kumar gave deadline for completion of all these works. He urged upon the implementing as well as executing agencies to carry out all these developmental works with a responsible attitude by ensuring quality outcome. Terming health as most important sector for the welfare of the people of all walks of life, Sachin said that administration would keep close monitoring and supervision on the pace and progress of each work and also cautioned to fix responsibility if any of the concerned agencies fails to achieve the work within the given timeline. He also urged upon the CMO and MS, SNM Hospital to maintain a closer coordination with the executing agencies to ensure desired outcome within the timeframe.
Sachin Kumar further enquired the role of ICDS in the public health and asked them to bring out complete data about their welfare schemes and beneficiaries.
