ADC uses unparliamentary language against BDC VC

KATHUA, May 17: Additional DC Basohli, T R Thappa today used unparliamantary language against the Block Development Committee (BDC) Vice Chairman, Basohli, Abhinav Razdan and a verbal duel took place between the duo during a meeting at Basohli when the later raised some issues being faced by the public of Basohli due to the COVID-19 lockdown in presence of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kathua, O P Bhagat and SSP Kathua, Shailder Kumar Mishra.
While addressing the meeting, the chairman, BDC VC said the administration should be more sensitive towards people’s problems and apprised the district officers about his concerns of public. He said the public must be educated about Carona virus and what steps needed to taken for the safety.
He also said no body criticizes the steps taken by the administration in evacuating the stranded people and it is an appreciable step but at the same time other concerns of the public needed attention.
He said that 10,000 masks were made by the girls in Basohli area and distributed free of cost but no girl was honoured or encouraged by the administration. Even ADC knows every thing. This provoked the Additional DC who stood up from his seat and tried intervene. The BDC VC asked him not to intervene as he has spoken at his term and now he be allowed to speak. This provoked ADC further and he left his chair and went towards BDC chairman in bid to browbeat him.
However, the situation was saved from taking ugly turn with the intervention of DC Kathua, O P Bhagat and SSP Kathua, Shailender Kumar Mishra and others present in the meeting. The ADC also used un -parliamentary language against VC and alleged that he was always making him a target.
However the officers said that it was not appropriate to raise the issue of masks at this meeting. The SSP said if some one works for society it is good and there are so many people who are working for the society and administration can’t honour each and every one. The ADC also said that if somebody is making masks at his own level through a society what administration has to do with it.
