JAMMU, July 29: Adbi Kunj, Jammu, a multilingual literary organization, today organized a special literary meet to pay tributes to Kargil Martyrs at its literary centre here at Talab Tillo.
A large number of writers, poets and devotees participated in this meet with patriotic fervour. They paid their homage to brave soldiers who made supreme sacrifice during about two-month long Katgil War.
On the occasion, some prose collections including ‘Vijay Diwas Chand Yadian’ (Urdu) by Sham Talib, ‘Yudh Banam Shanti’ (Hindi) by KL Dewana, ‘Ilama Iqbal-Ek-Naie-Tarha’ (Urdu) by ML Ganjoo Frisal, were presented.
In the composite poetic session, poets specially recited their patriotic poems and songs along with their other Kalams.
In the meet it was unanimously decided that Adbi Kunj will celebrate its 41st foundation day on August 16 at KL Saigal Hall in the premises of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu.
The meet was presided over by a prominent Urdu short story writer, Talib Kashmiri whereas well known Urdu and Kashmiri poetess, Fozia Mugal Zia, was the chief guest of the meet.
Literary luminaries and others who presented in the meet were Fozia Mughal Zia, Santosh Nadan, ML Ganjoo Frisal, Aarash Dalmotra, Raj Kamal, Bishan Dass Khak, KL Deewana, Sanjeev Kumar, Ved Uppal, SK Gupta, Rajeev Kumar, MS Kamra, Raj Kumar Uttam, Romesh Rahi and Sham Talib.
The meet concluded with vote of thanks by Aarash Om Dalmotra, chairman, Adbi Kunj, Jammu.
