Accused wanted in dowry demand, attempt to murder cases arrested

JAMMU, May 7: Belicharana police arrested an accused, who was wanted in dowry demand and attempt to murder cases after five years.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Belicharana Police Post conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large for the past around five years.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Bashir, son of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Gujjar Basti Belicharana, at present residing in Sabzian area of Darhal in District Rajouri.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 5/10 under Section 498-A and 109 RPC with Police Station Women Cell Gandhi Nagar. The accused was also involved in an attempt to murder case registered under FIR Number 161/2009 under Section 307 RPC with Police Station Satwari.
Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by 2nd Additional Session Court Jammu and Excise Court Jammu.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Belicharana Police Post SI Manoj Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
