Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Oct 23: Appealing the people in particular the youth, students and all other social organizations to celebrate the Accession Day like national festival, KPC Chief, Kundan Kashmiri while addressing a meeting at New Delhi today said that Accession Day falling on   October 27 is the most significant day in history of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing his party activists Kashmiri squarely held the successive State Govern-ments   responsible for putting the significance of Accession Day in oblivion. He said that KPC had been celebrating ‘Accession Day’ every year  from the last one decade and would celebrate  this year too with full national spirit, great enthusiasm  and love at Delhi and at other places to mark the historic and prudent decision of Maharaja Hari Singh to accede the State with the rest of the country of Indian nation.
Urging the people to celebrate the revered day as like national festival by hoisting the National Flag on roof  tops, bursting of crackers, distribution of sweets and holding the meetings, Kundan Kashmiri  vociferously asserted that J&K was, is and shall remain an integral part of India. He also exhorted the people to maintain national unity and pride as well as defeat nefarious designs of Pakistan and her agents, anti-national and subversive elements of J&K State .
Other  KPC  leaders added that it was auspicious October 27,1947 which bestowed legal and Constitutional right to the State subjects of the J&K to claim themselves as proud Indians. Later KPC  leaders in unison sought declaration of Oct 27 as holiday with its due observance as a J&K State function.
