ACB raids houses of MD, ex-JMC Comm

JAMMU, Oct 29: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today simultaneously conducted raids at the residences of Bharat Bushan Gupta, Managing Director, Housing Cooperative Society and Kuldeep Lal Khajuria, retired Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in connection with a case pertaining to grant of permission for construction of flats by the Society.
Reports said two teams of the Anti-Corruption Bureau raided the houses of Gupta and Khajuria this afternoon and seized some documents.
However, there was no official word by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on the raids at the residences of one serving and another retired official.
Reports, however, said that Khajuria during his posting as the Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation had granted permission for construction of some flats by the Society in violation of rules and norms.
A case against the two has already been registered by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for further investigations.
