ACB arrests SHO, HC for accepting bribe

SRINAGAR, Oct 27: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested Station House Officer and Head Constable of Police Station Khag in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, while accepting bribe.
The ACB said that on the basis of a complaint its team headed by DySP Rameez Ahmad raided Police Station Khag and caught SHO and cop red handed while accepting the bribe of Rs 4000.
They have been identified as Sub-Inspector Gowhar Ahmad who is SHO PS Khag and Head Constable Nazir Ahmad.
An FIR (No 21/2020 under relevant sections of law) has been registered in ACB Police Station Srinagar and further investigations have been taken up.
