Various activities organised to observe ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’

JAMMU, Oct 27: Various activities were organised to observe ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’.
An oath taking ceremony to mark the Vigilance Awareness Week was held at both the officers of Registrar of Companies located at Jammu and Srinagar. Haamid Bukhari, Officiating ROC of J&K and Ladakh administered the oath to all the officials.
In pursuit of Government of India’s vision to make a New India by 2022, which is the 75th anniversary of our Independence, the Central Vigilance Commissioner, as the apex integrity institution of the country, endeavours to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life. ROC office reiterated its commitment to follow the same.
Observance of the Week aims to encourage all stakeholders to collectively participate in the prevention of corruption and fighting against the menace while raising public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of the issue and the threat posed by it.
ROC further highlighted the fact that MCA21 is considered one of the easiest and best-e-gov project in the country that not only ensured speedy work by work with transparency and accountability of the public chair.
NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company and a ‘Mini Ratna’ Category-I Enterprise of the Government of India commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week themed ‘Vigilant India, Prosperous India’ from today to 2nd November 2020 at Corporate Office, Faridabad and its various power stations, projects, regional offices and field units. On this occasion, AK Singh, CMD, NHPC administered the oath of “Integrity Pledge” to the senior officers and employees at Corporate Office, Faridabad. Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects), NK Jain, Director (Personnel), YK Chaubey, Director (Technical), RP Goyal, Director (Finance) and AK Srivastava, CVO, NHPC were also present alongwith other senior NHPC officers and employees. During the inaugural function, AK Singh, CMD, NHPC also released ‘Chetna’, the e-Magazine of the NHPC Vigilance Division.
Vigilance Awareness Week is being organized at Dulhasti Power Station from today to 2nd November. On this occasion, Nirmal Singh, General Manager (In-charge), Dulhasti Power Station, inaugurated the Vigilance Awareness Week by administering oath of vigilance to all employees in the administrative building. Various vigilance awareness programs and competitions will be organized in the power station during the week to generate awareness about the corruption. On this occasion, Suresh Kumar, General Manager (Electrical), Diwakar Prasad Awadhiya, Senior Manager (IT)-Project Vigilance Officer alongwith officers and staff of Dulhasti Power Station were also present.
All Jammu based CRPF units and establishments are observing the Vigilance Awareness Week with theme “Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India, Prosperous India)” from today to November 2, 2020. In Group Centre, Bantalab, the observance of the vigilance awareness week commenced with the integrity pledge administrated by Rajender Prasad, DIGP,GC Bantalab to all officers and men and educate the officers and men about corruption related practices and also educating them how to report them. During this week, Group Centre, Bantalab is conducting various activities to create awareness among officers and jawans to promote and uphold ethical values. PC Gupta Commandant, Sumit Verma Deputy Commandant, Rajesh Kumar Deputy Commandant GC Bantalab and other officers and officials were present on the occasion.
Integrity pledge was taken by all the staff of the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute for Urinary Disorders, Bantalab, Jammu. Dr VC Deep, Assistant Director In Charge, read the integrity pledge for Organizations. Dr Aaditya Shah, Research Officer (Ayurveda) read the integrity pledge for citizens. Dr Gopesh Kumar Sharma, Research Officer (Ayurveda), Dr Poonam Mohod, Research Officer (Ayurveda) and Talat Anjum, Research Officer (Botany) spoke during the occasion. Various activities are planned at the Institute to create awareness regarding anticorruption.
Team J&K and Ladakh of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in line with the corporations nationwide activities today set the ball rolling by organizing a Vigilance Pledge taking ceremony in its territorial office at Bahu Plaze. On the occasion, GS Hira, Principal Financial Advisor of Northern Railways shared various initiatives and practices being undertaken by the Indian Railways. Rajesh Sharma, Territory Manager (Retail) for J&K and Ladakh, BPCL’s staff along with selected dealers were present on the occasion. In the end, Surinder Dogra, Territory Manager for LPG BPCL presented vote of thanks.
