ABVP, NSUI protest for aggrieved admission seekers

JAMMU, Sept 28: Demanding admission to all eligible candidates in the colleges affiliated to Jammu University and Cluster University Jammu, ABVP and NSUI today held separate protest demonstrations.
ABVP activists protested outside Divisional Commissioner office Jammu while NSUI activists staged demonstration near Press Club Jammu.
Shouting slogans against the Higher Education authorities, the protesting ABVP activists said that the despite getting above 85 percent marks in Class 12th, students are not getting admission in the city Colleges.
ABVP Secretary, Mukesh Manhas, who was leading the protest demonstration, stressed that the intake capacity of students at all the colleges affiliated to Cluster University of Jammu and Jammu University should be increased.
ABVP Jammu Mahanagar Secretary Chahat Anand, Hariom Anand, Karan, Rishab, Ayush, Anubav and Arun also addressed the protest demonstration.
The protesting ABVP activists also submitted a memorandum to Divisional Commissioner Jammu who assured necessary action over their demand.
Meanwhile, NSUI activists, led by Sourav Verma and Sunny Parihar also staged a protest demonstration against denying admission to all students in UG courses at the colleges affiliated to Cluster University Jammu and University of Jammu.
Sunny Parihar alleged that the Cluster University of Jammu was playing with the future of students by delaying and denying admission to them for UG courses.
Others, who addressed the protest demonstration, included Kanav Sharma, Arslan Wani, Numan, Kunal , Rahil, Akash, Ayush , Himanshu Billowria and Suhail.
