JAMMU, Feb 10: Digiana and Gangyal Police arrested two absconding rape accused, who were evading their arrest since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Digiana Police Post led by SI Sandeep Kumar conducted raid and apprehended a rape accused, who was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Bashir Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz of Balasram, Mahore District Reasi.
He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 95/18 under Section 376 RPC with Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
Meanwhile, a team from Gangyal Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia also arrested a rape accused, who was evading his arrest since 2012.
The arrested person has been identified as Joginder Singh, son of Khem Singh of Dewar Tral District Pulwama.
He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 22/2002 under Section 366 and 376 RPC with Police Station Gangyal.
Arrest warrants under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against the above said absconders by court, which were executed with their arrest.
