JAMMU, June 5: Domana Police arrested an absconding rape accused after two years.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Domana conducted raid in district Reasi and arrested an absconding rape accused.
The accused was identified as Ravinder Kumar alias Rahul, son of Krishan Lal, a resident of District Reasi.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 370/2019 under Section 376 RPC with Police Station Domana.
It is pertinent to mention here that accused was evading his arrest for the past two years.
Further investigation is going on to enquire about various activities the criminal had been involved in past two years.
Police team led by SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma and assisted by SI Vijay Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
