JAMMU, Mar 17: Gangyal Police arrested an absconding murderer from Bihar here.
As per police sources, during checking near Industrial area, a team from Police Station Gangyal led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh intercepted a man, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During questioning the man disclosed his name as Raja Aalam, son of Mohammad Habib of Amhara Ward Number 12, Araria Bihar.
As sensing something fishy, the police team brought the man to Police Station for questioning and enquiry purpose.
A communication was established with SDPO Araria, who told that the said person has been involved in two murder cases registered under FIR Numbers 471/2021 under Sections 302, 120-B and 34 IPC and 60/2022 under Sections 302, 346, 201 and 34 IPC with Police Station Farbeesganz of Bihar. He was absconding after committing the crime.
The accused will be handed over to a police team from Bihar, which will arrive tomorrow.
