JAMMU, Jan 16: Police here in Domana area have arrested an individual who was evading his arrest in a case for the past 11 years.
Gian Chand of Bajigar Basti, Village Jaswan, Tehsil Marh, District Jammu, was evading his arrest in case FIR number 405/2013 under sections 454 and 380 of RPC registered at Police Station Domana, a police spokesperson said.
He said an arrest warrant against the accused under section 299 CrPC was issued by the Court of third Additional Munsiff JMIC Jammu.
Acting on specific information, he was arrested today by a team of Police Station Domana led by SHO concerned, said the spokesperson.
“The accused shall be finally produced before the court of law for deciding future course of action,” he said.
