JAMMU, Feb 26: Akhnoor police today arrested an absconder, who was evading arrest for the last ten years.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Akhnoor police station laid a naka at Devipur and apprehended the accused.
The absconder identified as Hakikat Singh, son of Shank Singh of Mirpur, Akhnoor was wanted in case registered at Akhnoor police station under FIR number 139/2003 under Section 415/ 323 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act and was evading his arrest since then, spokesman added.
Police party led by SHO Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the direct supervision of SDPO Rayees Mohd Bhat.
