JAMMU, May 24: Akhnoor police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last two years.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Akhnoor police station arrested the absconder, who has been identified as Arun Kumar, son of Jeevan Lal of Mehra Mandrian, tehsil Akhnoor.
The absconder was wanted in a case registered at Akhnoor police station under FIR number 42/2011 under Section 457, 380 RPC, he added.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police party led by SHO Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Rayees Mohd Bhat.
