JAMMU, Nov 21: Pacca Danga police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past eight years.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Pacca Danga Police Station conducted a raid at New Plot and arrested the absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past eight years.
The absconder has been identified as Rakesh Sharma, son of Om Parkash Sharma of New Plot.
The accused was wanted in a case registered with Pacca Danga Police Station under FIR number 142/2005 under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B RPC.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police party headed by SHO Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Kulbir Handa and SP City Yougal Manhas.
