JAMMU, Aug 11: Senior Congress leader and secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Hira Lal Abrol today asked the party workers to gear up for Assembly polls and spread the policies and programmes of the Party at grass root level.
Addressing the workers’ meet in Jammu East Constituency, Abrol said during its two tenures, the UPA Government led by Congress launched a large number of schemes and programmes for the benefit of the common people. It was only because of these policies that there was an overall improvement in the living standard of the people.
He further said that Congress Party would ensure equitable development of all the three region of the State viz Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh if came to power.
He urged the party workers to strengthen the vote base of Congress Party by ensuring the victory of Congress Party in all 87 Assembly seats to take the J&K State on the path of progress, prosperity and harmony.
