Abducted minor girl rescued from Amritsar, accused arrested

RAMBAN, Nov 29: Gool police rescued an abducted girl from Amritsar area of Punjab and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on November 4 this year, a complaint was lodged by a man with Police Station Gool stating that during the intervening night of November 2nd and 3rd this year, his minor daughter was kidnapped by a person identified as Sohail Akram alias Mohammad Akram, son of Bashir Ahmed Malik of Jamman Gool District Ramban with the conspiracy of other family members.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 70/2020 under Sections 363, 109, 504 and 506 IPC was registered at Police Station Gool and investigation started.
After hectic efforts involving human and technical intelligence viz specific information, a team from Police Station Gool under the direct supervision of SHO Gool Inspector Muneer Ahmed, SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar, Additional SP Ramban Rajni Sharma and SSP Ramban Haseeb-ur-Rehman conducted raid in Amritsar area of Punjab and rescued the kidnapped girl and also arrested the kidnapper.
Relevant sections of POCSO Act 2012 has been added in the case and accused has been remanded to police custody by Court.
The minor girl has been handed over to her family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
