JAMMU, Feb 2: Police recovered an abducted girl within 24 hours.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was lodged by a family with Police Post Residency Road stating that their minor daughter has been abducted by some unidentified persons.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 10/18 under Section 363 RPC was registered at City Police Station and hunt started to recover the kidnapped girl.
Three teams led by SHO City Inspector Vishal Sharma, Incharge Police Post Residency Road SI Sunil Singh Manhas and Incharge Police Post Hari Market SI Ranjeet Rao put in strenuous efforts and recovered the girl within 24 hours.
After completing legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to family members.
The recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
