JAMMU, Sept 4: Aam Aadmi Party today asked the Jammu and Kashmir Government to completely implement the online mode of Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) in School Education Department, which is lying incomplete even after 6 months creating chaos like situation for Teachers and Masters in the Union Territory.
In a press statement issued here by Aam Aadmi Party, it has been elaborated that School Education Department in Jammu and Kashmir shifted from offline mode of transfer of Teachers and Masters and started online mode for which applications were also invited from the employees on department’s website with each employee was asked to submit five choices for his / her transfer.
” This online mode of transfer drive was started with claims of Government to bring reforms in the department but even after 6 months, the drive is yet to be completed,” AAP said in the statement, adding that after first phase of submission of applications, a proposed list was issued in which many applicants were shown displaced.
Thereafter, AAP further said, the second phase was started and applications were sought again, however, even after 6 months of start of this online mode of ATD, the process is yet to get completed and the Government has failed to implement even the first phase of transfers.
“The drive was started at the onset of this year’s education session but is still to get completed even after half of the session is near to completion and now uncertainty is looming large with applicants fearing that the drive will be put on halt citing mid- session period,” AAP further stated in press statement.
The party raised a suspicion that some elements within the Government, who are believed to play role in influencing the transfer process and thereby running a transfer industry by taking benefits from employees could be the force which is creating hurdles in implementation of this online annual transfer drive as it will bring an end to their business of transfer industry.
“We demand that the online mode of ATD in School Education Department should be implemented fully and the final transfer list on the basis of first and second phases should be issued immediately and the transferred employees be asked to join at the new place of postings without any delay,” AAP statement further reads.
