JAMMU, Feb 12: Alleging patronage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to businessman Goutam Adani, Aam Aadmi Party today held a strong protest demonstration outside the office in Jammu as well as in Kashmir.
The protesting AAP leaders and activists alleged that Prime Minister Modi gave all the resources to one person and made him the second richest person in the world. “The Modi-Adani scam is the biggest scam since the country’s independence and in 2014 Adani’s assets were 37000 crores but in 2018 the assets increased to 59000 crores and in 2020 the assets increased to 2.5 lakh crores and in 2022 the assets increased to 13 lakh crores,” they said.
AAP further alleged that the Government waived off Rs 84 thousand crores loan of Adani when his companies started running in losses. “If an unemployed youth, a farmer, a street vendor needs a loan of two and a half lakhs or a laborer needs a loan of two and a half lakhs for his daughter’s marriage, then he runs from pillar to post but is denied loan but Modi Ji gave a loan of Rs 2.5 lakh crore to Adani who has invested thousands of millions of crores in 38 fake companies in the countries where there is tax exemption,” said the protesters, adding that this bank loan was invested for artificial hike in share price of Adani companies despite no profit.
