JAMMU, May 3: Dr Rajinder Thappa in charge Health Wing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu province with Swarn Sharma another leader of Aam Aadmi Party from Khour visited SDH Pouni and found that Pouni Hospital has been running without Ultrasound facilities more than seven years.
In a statement Dr Thappa said no lady doctor Gynecologist is posted there, no digital X-ray machine is provided to X-ray section, no orthopedic surgeon, general surgeon is there. The Hospital faces acute shortage of doctors and paramedical staff. He said no Government quarter is available for stay of lady doctor/ Gynecologist.
Dr Rajinder Thappa with Swarn Sharma, president of Aam Aadmi Party Khour Jammu also visited SDH Sunderbani and demanded that new hospital building be constructed there as old building
is in dilapidated condition.
He said doctor or ultrasound specialist visits only fixed three days in a week and if any holiday comes on those days then ultrasound facilities are available for two days in week.
Dr Thappa along with Swarn Sharma today visited wealth and Wellness Centre PHC Gole Gujral Jammu and found many shortcoming there. He said that there is no room for Yoga activities and no separate toilets are for male and female and there was no arrangement of electricity in the lab.
