JAMMU, Nov 20: AAP Women Wing president, Namrta Sharma flayed BJP and claimed that it failed to mitigate the sufferings of women community.
She was speaking during a joining programme at Govindpura in Chatha as chief guest.
During the programme organized by Sunita Kour, Sangathan Mantri and Sarpanch Kunti Devi, Mahila District president Central Jammu, many people joined AAP.
Taranjit Singh Tony, senior AAP leader and District Development Councillor from Suchetgarh presided over the programme and while speaking on the occasion he said that Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) has not moved an inch and remained confined to posters of BJP.
He said that BJP had miserably missed a chance to provide justice to the daughters and sisters of the country by not implementing BBBP campaign in letter and spirit.
“Had the BJP remained serious on the issue of BBBP, AAP party would have been the first to extend support but the motive of saffron brigade was to galvanize electorate only,” the AAP leader claimed adding that only AAP can fulfill the aspirations of the people and therefore people should not waste time seeking justice from the directionless political outfits.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Sham Lal Bhagat, District president Jammu Central AAP; Sarpanch Shashi Kumar, Sarpanch Tilak Raj, Sarpanch Shakti Kumar and others.
