JAMMU, Apr 1: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Anantnag-Pulwama Lok Sabha seat Dr Tanvir Maqbool Dar and his wife Sana Tanvir have assets totaling Rs 1.65 crores, which is more than three times the assets declared by PDP candidate from the same constituency Mehbooba Mufti.
Dr Dar has immovable assets including banking transactions, cash, insurance policies etc worth Rs 10.68 lakh and immovable assets to the tune of Rs 64 lakh while his wife Sana Tanvir has immovable assets to the tune of 22.53 lakh and immovable assets costing Rs 71 lakh.
Total assets of “Aam Aadmi” candidate and his wife amounted to Rs 1.65 crores.
Contrary to this, the assets of PDP president and party candidate for Anantnag seat Mehbooba Mufti were just Rs 47 lakh including Rs 25 lakh worth movable assets and Rs 22 lakh immovable assets.
Ms Mufti has not shown any dependent in the affidavit filed today along with nomination papers before the Returning Officer (the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag).
54 years old Mehbooba Mufti is Law Graduate from Kashmir University while 38 years old Dr Dar (son of former Minister of State for Home Mohammad Maqbool Dar) is Medical Graduate from University of Jammu and DNB from New Delhi.
