JAMMU, June 19: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee led by its president Roshan Lal Raina called on Principal Secretary, Power, Rohit Kansal here, today and apprised him of problems being faced by residents of Durga Nagar, Roop Nagar, Lower Roop Nagar and Dr Chowdhary Lane the areas which are dependent on R-2 Feeder.
They said these localities face power crisis including low voltage and long duration cuts. The problem took critical turn in last three days as the Feeder 2 at Roop Nagar is overloaded and people are put to problems in the scorching heat.
Rohit Kansal issued directives to concerned officers to look into the problem . Later they also called on MD JPDCL, Yasha Mudgal and Chief Engineer, M&RE who assured them that the problem will be redressed immediately.
The other members of the delegation included Behari Lal general secretary of the Committee, Kaka Ji, Badri Nath, and Bansi Lal.
