UDHAMPUR, June 19: A lady died due to fall from roof top in Army’s residential quarters building at Garhi. However, family members of the deceased alleged that the lady has been murdered.
As per reports, information was recovered from Command Hospital Udhampur by Rehambal Police regarding death of a lady identified as Shallu, wife of army jawan Jadish Singh due to fall from Army’s residential quarters building in Garhi area.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the body to District Hospital for autopsy.
Later, the brother of the deceased and other family members reached the hospital and alleged that the lady was killed by her husband. They alleged that deceased’s husband earlier also used to beat her up.
Acting on the statements by the family members, a case under FIR Number 83/3030 under Section 302 IPC was registered at Police Station Rehambal and investigation has been entrusted to SI Gurbachan Lal.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
