JAMMU, June 5: Overcoming the adverse business environment in J&K from the last few decades, a group of young entrepreneurs came together to build a vibrant startup ecosystem in J&K.
Shradha Sharma, Founder & Chief Editor Your Story, launched the JKSA website (www.jksaindia.com) and requested all the people in startup eco-system to support JKSA so that a vibrant startup eco-system comes up in J&K.
A handout stated that Jammu Kashmir Startups Association (JKSA) is a group of entrepreneurs committed to make a difference in the lives of aspiring entrepreneurs in this region where youth is primarily dependent on Government sector.
JKSA is closely working with policymakers, bureaucrats, incubators, educational institutions and aspiring entrepreneurs. The initiative is supported by Technology Business Incubation Centre, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
“We are confident that it will surely prove to be a big respite for startups as they are unable to connect to mentors and existing entrepreneurs. Moreover, it will save a lot of ground work as JKSA will create vibrant eco-system,” said, Manu Khajuria, Founder of Voice of Dogras.
Dr Swarkar Sharma (CEO, SMVDU TBIC) said the youth of this region are aggressively searching for opportunities and are eagerly looking to startup and now they can bank upon JKSA.
The handout further stated that JKSA aims to primarily make entrepreneurship affordable for every aspiring entrepreneur regardless of financial status and geographical location.
