SAMBA, Mar 12: The Ghagwal police reunited a 76 year old man with his family members who was roaming in Ghagwal village and was missing from his residence.
Police said today an information was received at Police Station Ghagwal that an old aged man has been roaming in the village Gurah Jattan, Ghagwal under its jurisdiction.
Acting on the information, a police party of PS Ghagwal reached the area, traced the man and safely brought him at Police Station. On questioning about his identity, he was unable to divulge any information. Later while his frisking his Identity Card was found in his pocket which revealed his name as Manohar Lal, S/o Umdesh Lal R/O Rajjo Chak, Hatli Morh, Kathua.
Immediately SHO P/S Ghagwal after contacting incharge Police Post Hatli, Kathua succeeded in tracing out his family members who were later called at Police Post Hatli, Kathua to identify the missing old man.
After proper verification and completion of all legal formalities, the old man has been handed over to his legal heirs. The family members complimented the police for their arduous effort.
