32 bovines rescued, 2 smugglers arrested

JAMMU, Mar 12: Nagrota police has rescued 32 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AS-4287.
During checking, police team rescued 15 bovine animals from the truck and arrested one smuggler, who has been identified as Saqeer, son of Chota of Adanpur Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Nagrota police also rescued 17 bovine animals from a Srinagar bound truck and arrested one person, who has been identified as Mehboob, son of Shabir, a resident of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Cases under FIR Numbers 123/2020 and 125/2020 under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police teams led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma.
