LEH, Mar 3: Secretary Information Technology, Ladakh, Saugat Biswas today inaugurated Aadhaar Sewa Kendra at Axis Bank Branch here.
Group Head North Axis Bank, Vivek Bimbrahw; Ladakh Head Axis Bank, Kamal Gupta; Neeraj Jain and Branch officials of the Bank were also present on the occasion.
A handout stated that Axis Bank is the first private banks in Leh to set-up Aadhaar Sewa Kendra on the request of the administration.
The Sewa Kendra will help people of Leh and its adjoining areas to avail Aadhaar enrolment and update related services in a hassle free, secure and convenient manner.
On this occasion Biswas stressed upon the need to open another Aadhaar Sewa Kendra at Axis Bank Kargil branch too.
He also asked the Group Head of Axis Bank to provide other banking facilities like educational loan, benefits under Start-Up and Stand-Up India schemes.
Official sources informed that services at the Seva Kendra will be available on all six days of the week including weekends from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm while it will remain close on every 2nd and 4th Saturdays including bank holidays.
