POONCH, June 17: The dead body of a 23-year-old youth was recovered under mysterious circumstances from a school ground in Poonch town late this evening.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Riaz, son of Mohd Bashir, resident of village Bherian in Loran area of Mandi sub division. He was presently residing and studying in Poonch city.
The police said the youth was said to be missing since last evening. Some people noticed his body lying near City Middle School ground in Ward No. 7 at around 8.45 pm and informed Police Station.
The body had some injury marks on face. The police examined the spot and then shifted the body to mortuary of District Hospital, Poonch. Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPc have been initiated, the police said.
