JAMMU, Apr 21: A meeting of Jammu-Kashmir Teachers Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, Forum leader.
Discussion on issues of teachers like pending salaries and arrears of 7th Pay Commission of Masters was held in the meeting.
Speaking in the meeting Khajuria appealed to Governor’s administration to release the pending five month salaries and arrears of Masters and Teacher Grade-II and streamline their regular salaries from the month of March-2019 from state budget as per the decision otherwise the Forum will come on streets to launch protests.
The Forum leader also said that teachers have to meet the expenses of medicines of their parents, repay housing and other loans etc so they should be paid their salaries and seventh pay commission arrears in proper time.
Those who were present in the meeting were Yograj Slathia, Darshan Sharma, S. Ravinder Singh, Raj Singh, Haji Mohd Iqbal and others.
