SRINAGAR, Apr 21: The girls team of Leh and Jammu defeated their rivals convincingly in the ongoing JKSSC Youth Football League, while the boys team of Anantnag got the better of Bandipora, here today.
In the first match of the day, the girls team of Leh defeated their counterparts from Srinagar by three goals to one(3-1). Mehroosh was the goal scorer for Srinagar while Jigmet Chuzin scored two goals and Sonam Agmo netted one goal for Leh.
In another match of girls section, Jammu defeated Baramulla by a solitary goal.
Dolker was the goal scorer for Jammu.
In boys section, Anantnag thrashed Bandipora by three goals to nil (3-0). Tabish, Musaib and Sahil scored one goal each for Anantnag.
Ace footballer and In-charge SFA Mehraj Ud Din Wadoo, International Coach Sajid Yousuf, Chief Coach Satpal Singh, Manager Pune City FC ISL Salman Ashraf, Head Coach Javed Sofi and Youth Coach Muzzamil Mehmood were the special guests on the occasion and interacted with players of both teams.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Samba will take on Srinagar in boys section, while Leh will meet Jammu in the girls category.
The event is being organised by State Football Academy under the supervision of J&K State Sports Council and is being supported by J&K Football Association.
