SRINAGAR, Apr 1: Anti-Corruption Bureau Kashmir today produced charge sheet (Challan) against the then Patwari Halqa Midoora, Tral and others in a case of fraudulent mutation.
The Challan in case FIR No. 13/2014 against accused public servants and beneficiaries was produced before the Court of Additional Special Judge Anti Corruption Pulwama.
The instant case was registered in P/S VOK (now ACB) under relevant Sections of law as an offshoot of case FIR No. 37/2010 P/S VOK during which it emerged that the accused Farukh Jahanzeb alias Rinku of Awantipora purchased land measuring 9 kanal and 8 marla under Khasra No. 78, 82 and 97 in the year 2009 for an amount of Rs 32,00,000 at village Medora Awantipora under mutation No. 1812, dated 28.07.2007. Out of the said land, 08 kanals of land was shown gifted to Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh son of Haji Gh Nabi Sheikh of Chak Rajpora in equal shares by the accused Farukh Jahanzeb, whereas the same quantum of 08 kanal of land was again shown mutated and transferred back in the name of Farukh Jahanzeb vide Mutation Nos. 1844 dated 19.10.2009, in conspiracy with public servant Mohammad Ayoub Bhat, the then Patwari concerned through fraudulent and fictitious mutations to save it from confiscation by Investigating agency during investigation of case FIR No. 37/2010 P/S VOK.
The accused Patwari had entered into a predesigned criminal conspiracy fraudulently, dishonestly and by abusing official position and processed the case by inflicting the fraudulent signatures of late Abdul Wahab Rather, the then Naib Tehsildar Noorpora Tral as attesting authority who had already expired in year 2007. The said accused persons with a well thought plan taking the benefit of death of the deceased Naib Tehsildar, manipulated the records to confer undue pecuniary benefit upon Farukh Jahanzeb alias Rinku by preparing the deceptive and fraudulent records.
The Challan of the case was accordingly produced before the Additional Special Judge Anti Corruption Pulwama for Judicial determination and the case is listed on April 3, 2019 before the said court.
