UDHAMPUR, Mar 27: Anxious over the discontinuation of the services of RMSA subject specific teachers who were recruited for one year tenure on contract basis, a deputation of RMSA teachers met with former MLA & NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia and submits a memorandum regarding their issues.
The RMSA teachers apprised Mankotia that they have rendered their services with full dedication and successfully excelled in bringing good results and have emerged as a trained teacher but their fate is in danger as they have been discontinued from their service after the completion of contract period. They were earlier assured of continuing their service without any break due to which most of them had left their jobs and joined here. Many of them are going to be overage and their further job avenues have been blocked, they added.
Mankotia expressed deep concern over their issue and appealed the Governor to take cognizance of their demands and do the early redressal of their issues as the schools will again become scarce of the teachers and students will suffer after their discontinuation from service while their families are totally dependent on them.
Mankotia also forwarded a memorandum from his side regarding their demands to the Governor.
