JAMMU, Aug 23: The claim made by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi that full hundred paisa of one Rupee released by Centre reaches the poor and needy, is in fact reflective of his firm commitment to provide corruption free, good governance to one and all in the country.
This was stated by BJP spokesman, Balbir Ram Rattan in a statement issued here today. It also reflects the fulfillment of election promise made by BJP that it will end dynastic rule, provide good governance and corruption free administration, he added.
While terming this development as very promising for a common, poor person, who has very high hopes from the Government, Balbir said that whatever has been claimed by PM Narendra Modi should make it clear to everyone that while Congress promoted family rule and corruption, which resulted into scams amounting to thousands of crores of rupees, it is the BJP which has cleansed the country of this malaise.
“Three decades back, when Congress was ruling the country, its leader & then Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, had admitted publicly that only 15 paisa of a rupee meant for development and welfare reaches the poor and needy”, Balbir said and added that it was never denied by any one from the Congress, which lend credibility to such an admission.
