JAMMU, Aug 12: To celebrate its foundation day, The Batwals India (a social organization) organized a function in Rajinder Park, here today.
The Expert Yoga Therapist, Honorary Captain and Sena Medal, Hans Raj Nandan, was the chief guest of the function.
In his welcome address, Organization secretary, OP Sargotra acquainted the guests and members with the activities of The Batwals India.
On the occasion, the achievers of Academics, Sports and Co-curricular activities were felicitated by the chief guest. The Organisation general secretary, RL Kaith, urged the achievers to learn moral, ethical and humanistic values which will take the society to higher level of consciousness.
The chief guest taught yoga in unique way to all participants. He said Yoga is good for overall health and practicing it regularly controls an individual’s mind, body and soul.
Raj Kumar Chanjotra, who has won around 25 gold medals in Karate Championships held since 1999 across India and also winning more golds in Sqay Martials Arts events held in Nepal, Bangladesh, Bangkok, Sri Lanka and Bhutan, spoke on ‘Karate’. He said Karate is linked to improved cardiovascular health and building strength.
Among the Batwal community members and other dignitaries who graced the occasion include Advocate Shashi Kumar Kaith, Om Parkash Tugga, Kamal Chand Motan, Gunni Ram Kaith, Romesh Sargotra, Baldev Chand Sandhu, Rashpal Bassa and Dilay Ram Kaith.
