Poonch, Aug 12: Deputy Commissioner Rahul Yadav today reviewed the arrangements for the annual Budha Amarnath Yatra here at a meeting.
The annual pilgrimage is commencing from August 17.
The meeting reviewed in detail the arrangements being put in place by the district administration from Bimber Gali to Budha Amarnath Mandi for comfortable and hassle free yatra.
The concerned departments gave detailed brief on the range of arrangements including security, sanitation, installation of make shift toilets, lodging and langar facilities, drinking water, power supply, accommodation ,medicare and traffic regulation etc.
The meeting was informed that the first batch of yatris will arrive at Budha Amarnath on 17th of August, while yatra will conclude on 24th of August with the departure of ‘Chari Mubarakh’ from Dashnami Akhara Poonch.
The DDC stressed on close coordination among all concerned departments and stakeholders for smooth and successful conduct of Budha Amarnath Yatra. Additional SP Anwar UL Haq, district officers, members of Budha Amarnath Yatra committee and prominent citizens attended the meeting.
