JAMMU, May 15: Gandhi Nagar police busted motorcycles lifter gang with the arrest of the kingpin.
As per police sources, complaints were received regarding theft of motorcycles from various areas by Gandhi Nagar Police and accordingly in one case, a case under FIR Number 49/18 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station.
During the course of investigation, police rounded up several suspects and finally apprehended the thief, who was involved in theft of motorcycles.
The accused has been identified as Satpal, son of Girdhari Lal, a resident of Kothi Morh, Bari Brahmana, district Samba.
On his disclosure, the accused, who happens to be the kingpin of the motorcycles lifting gang disclosed that he had stolen four motorcycles from different areas of the district Jammu, which police recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia busted the gang under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
