Rajbagh Police rescues 9 bovine animals

KATHUA, May 15: Continuing its endeavor to thwart  the evil designs of the bovine smugglers, Kathua Police on the directions of SSP Kathua, Shridhar Patil succeeded in  foiling another  bovine smuggling bid in the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajbagh and rescued nine bovine animals.
Acting on tip off late last night, a team of Police Station Rajbagh led by Inspector Sarabjeet Singh established checkpoint at NHW near PS Rajbagh. During checking a truck bearing  Registration Number JK02AC 2576 was found carrying bovine animals. In this process police saved nine bovine animals being smuggled in the vehicle.
Accordingly case FIR No 120/2018 U/s 188 RPC, 3/5 PCA Act was registered at PS Rajbagh and the vehicle was seized. Police also arrested the accused driver Irfan S/o Farooq Ahmed R/o Bathindi Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
