Srinagar, Jan 31: The faculty members of Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences today urged the doctors to avoid strike during the working hours as it affects patient care in the hospital.
The SKIMS faculty held its general body meeting wherein different issues confronting the institute were discussed.
A spokesperson of the faculty forum said that the threadbare discussion was held on the recent unfortunate event which plagued the institute. “The executive conveyed to the whole faculty regarding the outcome of the meeting they held with the Chief Minister regarding the issue,” he said.
He said the executives acknowledged the concern shown by Chief Minister towards the institute and vowed that they would continue to deliver their services irrespective of the circumstances.
He added the executives’ advised all the doctors to avoid strike during working hours as it affects the patient care and goes against the spirit of their profession.
He further said the faculty members welcomed the newly appointed Professor Omar Shah as Director.
