NHPC celebrates 43rd Raising Day

JAMMU, Nov 7: NHPC Regional Office, Jammu celebrated its 43rd Raising Day today with great pomp and show at its Regional Office at Narwal, here.
S. Kalgaonkar, Executive Director presided over the function as chief guest. Besides Executive Director the function was attended by senior officers including  Yoginder Kotha, Chief Engineer (Civil),  K. L. Acharyulu, Chief (Finance),  Ashok Dhanwal, Manager (HR) and other officers and staff were present.
S.Kalgaonkar, Executive Director in his address on the occasion congratulated the employees and briefed about the achievements of NHPC Limited during the last 42 years. He also spoke about the status of various projects across the State and also briefed about the initiatives under its CSR programme and other activities.
On the occasion a colourful cultural programme was organised which was appreciated by one and all.
Meanwhile Nimmo Bazgo Power Station, Leh celebrated 43rd Raising Day of NHPC  with all the enthusiasm. The dignitaries of the district administration including the Additional District Commissioner of Leh Moses Kunzang along with senior  officers from Army, Para Military and JK Police graced the occasion with their presence.  Sonam Wangchuk (SECMOL), Ladakhi engineer, innovator and education reformist and real hero of Ladakh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Cultural events were led by Band from Ladakh Regimental Centre and 320 Nurla Regiment. The programmes by school Children were the attraction of the function.
The programme started with the national anthem and was followed by the welcome speech by the head of the Nimmo Bazgo Power Station. S Adhikari. Adhikari in his speech described the achievements of the Power Station and the projects of social development undertaken by the Nimmo Bazgo Power Station and NHPC.
Vigilance Awareness week was celebrated at Nimmo Bazgo Power Station from  October 30 to November 4, 2017. In this programme, the prizes for the competitions held in the Vigilance awareness week were too distributed.
Finally Sonam Wangchuk in his speech accepted that he is a big fan of NHPC and thanked Nimmo Bazgo Power Station for the generation of hydro electricity for Leh.
