JAMMU, Sept 11: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest demanding immediate life term arrest of the separatist leaders Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani, Yasin Malik and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by NIA.
Led by their president, Sunil Dimple, the JWAM activists burnt effigies of separatist leaders and Pakistan flags and raised alogans against Pakistan for funding the separatists for the militancy in Jammu and Kashmir.
Protesters also raised slogans against the failure of BJP-PDP Coalition Government headed by Mehbooba Mufti to restore peace and normalcy in the State and torched the effigies of State Government.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple appealed Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, not to hold talks with Pakistan sponsored separatist’s leaders. Moreover, he demanded immediate life term arrest of separatist leaders and imposition of Governor rule in the State to establish peace and normalcy in the State.
