CEC reviews traffic problem in Kargil town

KARGIL, Oct 29: To redress the traffic related problem in Kargil town, the LAHDC has decided to shift all the buses, minibuses, taxis and other passenger vehicles, to the newly constructed Bus Stand at Rantakh near Iqbal Bridge, from November 5, 2012.
This was decided during a high level meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor Haji Ghulam Amir Kamran and Syed Kazim Sabere, besides Deputy Commissioner Kargil M Raju, SSP Kargil Javed Iqbal Matoo, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Kargil Khadim Hussain and Executive Officer MCD Kargil Sajjad Munshi.
The CEC directed the concerned officers to select adequate land for parking of vehicles besides buses and mini buses etc at the new bus stand so that there will better traffic management in place.
