PDP-BJP Govt divesting Jammu youth of their due share: Harsh

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, July 2: Coming down ferociously on the State Government and BJP in particular for perpetuating discrimination against the youth of Jammu while divesting them of their due share in employment, Harsh Dev Singh, chairman JKNPP and former minister, said that youth of Jammu, under the banner of Panthers Party, shall no longer reconcile with the second class status.
Addressing new entrants in the party at JKNPP headquarters, here today, Singh divulged that the regional bias in selections by the recruiting agencies and the harassment of the underemployed had caused a severe embitterment among the youth of Jammu which could explode anytime and prove fatal for the ominous dispensation. He flayed the callous attitude of the dispensation towards the highly qualified young contractual lecturers of Schools, Colleges and Polytechnics, who were also the victims of exploitation while working on paltry salaries for years. He further maintained that the Education Department was teetering on the brink as the salaries of RETs, Teachers and Masters engaged under SSA and RMSA remain unpaid for months together.
Wondering over the slogans of ‘Achey Din’ and ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ sold by the Saffron brigade with a big bang, Harsh Dev  said that thousand of crores of rupees had been incurred thereof while the daughters of the soil were tormented and left in lurch under the open skies.
Dismayed over the miserable plight of Jammu youth, Harsh Dev Singh made a reference of 10000 posts of SPOs sanctioned by the Government of India for J&K earlier which were out rightly assigned to various districts of Kashmir region by depriving Jammu province with full consent of BJP which shamelessly justified that the decision had been taken in national interest. He further questioned the neglect of Jammu region SPOs in the recent regularization process where only Kashmir region SPOs were absorbed in regular establishment. He also regretted the unlawful en masse termination of 229 Wireless Operators (Constables) by the State Government after taking their services for almost seven years which had put their career in jeopardy. He also lambasted the State Government for its nonchalant attitude towards thousands of DRW’s, Need based workers and Casual labourers of various departments vis-a vis PDD, PWD, PHE, R&B, I&FC, Health & Medical Education, Forest, Horticulture, Agricu-lture, TDAs, including NRHM workers, Anganwari workers and other lower rung employees.
