JAMMU, July 2: The body of a young girl, whose bag and some other belongings were found some days back lying on 4th Tawi bridge, was recovered today from nikki Tawi near Raipur-Satwari.
According to a police spokesman, some belongings of the girl namely Anuradha (20) daughter of Ramgopal, resident of Lane No 5, Preet Vihar (Gangyal), was found lying on 4th Tawi bridge on June 30 following which police launched a search operation in Tawi river, suspecting that the girl might have attempted suicide by jumping into the river.
He said today, body of the girl was recovered from Tawi river near Raipur area of Satwari and was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for post mortem. “The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter”, he added.
