NSUI protests against shifting of exam centre to Jammu

KISHTWAR, Nov 25: Agitated against shifting of examination centre from Kishtwar to Jammu, NSUI activists today held a protest demonstration against the Jammu Kashmir State Board of Technical Education (JKSBOTE).
A number of NSUI activists, led by Mehran Anjum Mir, State secretary of NSUI,   assembled in front of Government Polytechnic Kishtwar and marched towards the District Development Commissioner’s office. They were raising slogans against the JKSBOTE decision of shifting the exam centre.
While addressing the protesters,  Mehran said that the students studying in Kishtwar  belong to economically weaker background and  shifting of the examination centre to Jammu will put unaffordable burden on them. “The  unusual circular is  unbearable by the aspirants and will be accepted only if Government  takes the responsibility of their proper facilities,  including accommodation, food and  transportation.
Mehran also demanded that the  question paper should be as per the standard of aspirants, who are matriculate only.
The protest was joined by  Karan Panjgotra, Anil Bhagat, Tohib Sohail Mir, Abid Ganie, Imbran Khan, Kuldeep Kumar, Arif Majid Malik, Yawer Bhat, Aquib Mir, Rayees Zarger, Anjeel Sharma, Khalid Hussain, Pawan Dogra and others.
