Lack of proper transport facilities adds to woes of female students

SAMBA, Sept 7: The college and school goers especially the females are facing hardships of transport and they have to travel in jam packed buses and matadors.
Due to the lack of proper transport facilities, the female students many times miss the classes. Though the authorities are fully aware of the problems of the students in the Samba district they have failed to take any action in this regard said Rita Kumari, a B A final student from Nandpur Ramgarh.
She said the female students many times have to return from Bus Stop due to overloading as they are unable to travel on rooftops of the buses or matadors.
The students in Nandpur, Ramgarh, Swankha, Swankha More, Purmandal, Vijaypur and other interior areas of Samba district are facing acute transport problem and the authorities never bothered to solve the same, said Neelam Kumari a student of BSc second year.
With failure of the district administration to make proper arrangements of transportation of students to their respective colleges and schools they are up in arms to launch agitation in case, the Government fails to run extra buses and matadors during peak hours in the rural belt of Samba district.
