ABVP protests seeking action against Amnesty International

JAMMU, Aug 16: Demanding strict action against the perpetrators of anti-national sloganeering in Bangalore, activists of ABVP held a strong protest demonstration in front of Jammu University main gate, here today.
Pertinent to mention that an event titled, ‘Broken Families’,  was organized by Amnesty International at the United Theological College, J C Nagar, Bangalore on August 13, 2016, where separatist and anti-national slogans calling for Kashmir’s secession were raised.
Protesting ABVP activists raised slogans demanding that Police should initiate action against the sloganeers and the organizers of that event. “Union Government should ensure that such foreign funded NGOs are not allowed to attack the unity and integrity of India,” they said.
While addressing the protest demonstration, ABVP Jammu University secretary, Kanav Sharma said that such events undermine the spirit of our Army and aim to destabilize our country. “It is clear how foreign funded NGOs like Amnesty International attempt to destabilize India and fuel separatist mindset. It is also clear how such organizations have been conveniently ignoring the human rights of Kashmiri Hindus who have been forced to live as refugees in their own country,” he said.
