JAMMU, June 28: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in an emergency meeting here today urged the Government to take cognizance of tress passing at Durga Nagar temple complex by some local goons and stop their illegal activities failing which the ASKPC will be forced to come to streets.
The ASKPC also strongly condemned the thrashing of one social activist M K Koul by these goons who are putting up in the shrine complex for some time and refusal of local police to register FIR in this regard.
The meeting, which was chaired by ASKPC chief advocate Ravinder Raina said that it shows that the Pandits property be it private or public is treated as every man’s cup of tea and free for all. The ASKPC said that it will not tolerate this and will not allow the anti social elements to indulge in affairs of Hindu shrines. It also warned those community members who are supporting such elements of serious consequences.
The ASKPC in an appeal to DG Police has urged him to take stern action against culprits how influential they may be.
